The Analyst/Scheduler, Commercial Operations is responsible for helping the Marketing department to maximize revenues across all commodities while minimizing costs. This position will play a key role in allowing the Marketing department to be informative, accurate and reactive to any industry changes that will have a direct impact to PennEnergy Resources.

  • Schedule and nominate daily and monthly natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs) nominations to midstream and downstream counterparts.
  • Accurately and precisely monitor imbalances on various pipelines.
  • Manage firm transportation to maximize value and minimize underutilized charges (UDCs).
  • Monitor and verify all physical and financial transaction confirmations.
  • Assist in the process of setting up new customers and new contracts.
  • Assist updating and maintaining the integrity of the company hedge book.
  • Aid in the advancement of middle/back-office functions relating to physical and financial trades.
  • Assist in data collection used in decision making related to market analysis, competitiveness, and performance analysis.
  • Participate in internal production meetings to ensure transparency for new production and advise of any changes in marketing arrangements.
  • Evaluate contract compliance and accuracy through review of transportation & gathering invoices along with purchase statements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Understands key analytical methods and reporting
  • Experience with statistical, financial, and analytical tools
  • Working knowledge of creating and maintaining models in spreadsheets and software databases
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access) and Power BI
  • Effective communication

BENEFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with predictive modeling and analytics
  • Knowledge of oil and gas marketing

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is generally performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor, and typing. The potential for work in areas containing outdoor weather conditions, including wet, humid, cold, heat, loud noise, vibrations, gases, fumes, mists, dust, and odors if onsite visitation is needed. Must provide own transportation and be licensed to operate a motor vehicle.

REGULAR SCHEDULE
This is a full-time salaried position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday work hours.  A hybrid work schedule is available after an initial training period. Extended hours may be needed on occasion to complete Company objectives.  This position will take part in an on-call weekend rotation. Less than 10% travel may be required to work sites beyond the corporate office.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT  Natural gas scheduling, midstream, or revenue accounting experience a plus
